Welcome to Workplace Communication I - Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication! This is the sixth required lesson in the PD4 course.
Earlier in this course, you explored important concepts related to Workplace Project Management, including Teamwork & Leadership, Goal Setting & Planning, and Flexibility, Problem Solving & Critical Thinking. Now it's time to jump into the world of communication, how it is utilized in the workplace, and how you can optimize your communication skills in a variety of workplace settings and mediums!
You will need approximately 2.5 hours to complete this module.

What Will You Learn?
In this module, you will learn valuable information related to verbal (including written) and non-verbal workplace communication. You will gain knowledge related to communication that can be applied to in-person and virtual workplace settings, as well as a variety of mediums. You will explore different means of communication such as email, memos, reports, proposals, and meetings, as well as how to conduct yourself optimally when communicating to problem solve or contribute to workplace initiatives.
At the end of this module, you and your group will create and submit a formal proposal using the communication considerations covered in this module. This proposal will address your group's SI Challenge, incorporating assignment content from each module in PD3 and PD4.
