It has a Graphical User Interface and provides similar capabilities like other Operating Systems including Windows and Linux. macOS is famous for being super secure as it is protected by strong privacy and security technologies. At the end, iOS is also the mobile operating system installed on iPhones & iPads etc.

 

  • Linux: Linux is the most popular open-source operating system and is free to use. Many users love this feature about Linux since they can modify the functionality of this open-source OS according to their technical needs. Linux is similar to other operating systems like windows and has a graphical user interface. So, the only main difference is that it is open-source.

 

  • Android: This OS is the masterpiece of google as the most popular Operating System for about half of the world’s smartphones, which is mainly used for touchscreen devices. It is developed in a way that users can interact with devices by their fingers like through swiping and tapping. Android developers are able to create mobile apps mainly using Java language, and then they can publish them on online app stores, such as Google Play etc.

 

The EPOS software is installed upon the operating system you are using in your epos till. All POS software are OS-dependent, and it means you must always check the compatibility of your POS software with the current OS installed in it in order to avoid any possible software conflicts. Windows is mostly used in epos, but the number of the iOS & Android based eposes are getting increased every day. Windows is recommended for large stores while iOS/Android are better choices for smaller businesses.
