Crowdmark in Arts & Science
Crowdmark is a collaborative online grading platform available at the Faculty of Arts & Science. The University has a vendor agreement in place with Crowdmark, but units are responsible for covering the cost of using the tool. If you cannot locate the Crowdmark LTI add-in in your course as described below, it may mean that your unit has not enabled the tool. Please inquire with your unit's Associate Chair or business officer to confirm if this is the case. If you have an agreement, but cannot find the add-in, please contact us at teachinglearning.artsci@utoronto.ca.
How does it work?
Crowdmark facilitates grading paper-based assessments online. Completed exams are scanned by the instructional team and made available on a cloud-based platform for grading by one or more graders. Group grading, comment libraries, annotations and anonymous grading are key features of this system.
Crowdmark adds unique QR codes to your uploaded exam scripts which enable scanning of the completed exams papers in any order. Upon scanning, the exams are arranged into the correct order based on the QR codes.
Crowdmark refers to QR-coded, paper-based assessments as Administered Assessments Links to an external site..
Crowdmark can also be used with non-QR-coded assessments Links to an external site., but these must be scanned in order.
Bubble Sheets
Crowdmark also allows generating bubble sheets for multiple choice assessments. You may be familiar with these under the Scantron brand name. These can be appended to assessments or used as the sole method of responding to a 'multiple choice-only' assessment. Using multiple choice questions in Crowdmark booklets Links to an external site..
Getting Started
