Coursework and GenAI:
A Practical Guide for Students

Welcome to this online resource on the potential uses of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) for coursework! Always check with your instructor or refer to your syllabus for expectations regarding the use of these tools for specific course assignments. As you use GenAI-based tools, we encourage you to make sure you're using them responsibly and to help you learn better, and not to shortcut skills that are important for you to practice on your own.

What to Expect

You may spend about 20 minutes on each of the three modules linked below, reviewing key information and completing short quizzes and activities. Once you're done, you will have insight on understanding, evaluating and using AI-based tools responsibly in your academic work.
