A knowledge check quiz can gauge student understanding and identify areas for clarification. Additional knowledge check and active learning activities are available from the Centre for Teaching Support & Innovation's "Active Learning at the University of Toronto" page.
The quiz instructions can clarify the parameters and expectations of the quiz. Can students refer to their notes? Are students permitted to work together? How much time will students have to complete the quiz?
