Summary of the Medicine Wheel
The Medicine Wheel is the traditional knowledge of Indigenous people and a model of understanding health and wellness from Indigenous culture that is represented by the coloured wheel with meanings shared in this module (Toulouse, 2017 pg. 58-64). The module is divided into the different sections of the Medicine Wheel and the associated compass bearings that starts with physical wellness (The East), emotional wellness (The South), mental wellness (The West) and spiritual wellness.
