Instructions
As you've gathered by now, academic offences are taken very seriously. Minor misconduct (assignments worth 10% or less) are dealt with at the divisional level, but more serious offences are referred to the Academic Integrity Office, and if further investigation is needed, to the University Tribunal. If a student is found to have committed an offence, they may face one or more of the following sanctions:
- A transcript notation;
- A reduction in grade on the assignment, including the possibility of a grade of zero;
- A reduction in grade in the course, including the possibility of a grade of zero;
- Or in extreme cases, expulsion from the University.
