Read the Course Syllabus

How to use this page: See below for ideas on what to include on your syllabus (while complying with deparmental guidelines for syllbus development. Included are sample templates for text, but you are encouraged to edit them as needed, especially those related to academic integrity. Don't forget to upload a PDF version of your Syllabus!

Before crafting your University of Toronto course syllabus:

  1. It is not recommended that you use the Syllabus tool (see how do I use the Canvas syllabus tool Links to an external site.) (located on your main course window; you can choose to hide this navigation item Links to an external site.) because it does not comply with official U of T guidelines regarding publishing a formal course syllabus. You could elect to use the tool, but also post a PDF version of the Syllabus.
