About this course
Welcome to the Quercus Assessment and Feedback Template Course. This is an open course designed to provide Quercus (Canvas) users at the University of Toronto examples of assessments and rubrics.
The course is publicly viewable, but if you want to export any of the materials to use or adapt in your own course you will need to download the Export Package for the course and import the content into your own course:
Download and import the template file

- import the template file into your own course shell, using the steps on this guide How do I import a course template? Links to an external site.
- Make sure that you are importing an imscc file and that the file does not have a .zip extension.
- view the template in your course by selecting the Home tab of your course
- Make any changes that are necessary to adapt your content to the module structure
- Update settings to suit your course (including assignment deadlines/availability dates).
Note: This is a public course template. Therefore, your course will inherit some settings from the template when you import it into your own course shell, including course visibility and content license settings.
